FlipWise Privacy Policy

FlipWise is a car-profit tracking app provided by DS Venture Labs Ltd.

Data we process

Firebase Authentication processes your email address, account identifier and sign-in credentials. Your private Firestore record can contain vehicle details, registration, optional VIN and mileage, costs, expenses, repairs, notes, status history, sale details and receipt text that you choose to enter.

Photos and exports

In the current release, vehicle and receipt images remain on your device. Backup and report files are shared only when you choose a destination.

MOT lookup

When you request an MOT lookup, the registration is sent through FlipWise's protected service to the official DVSA service. Returned details may be saved with your vehicle record when you choose to use them.

Purpose and sharing

We use data to provide authentication, calculations, reports, reminders, MOT lookup and cloud synchronisation. We do not sell personal information. Firebase and necessary infrastructure providers process data to operate and protect the service.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit. Firestore rules restrict each signed-in user to their own record. Data is retained while your account is active, subject to any lawful security or record-retention requirements.

Your choices

You can export your data or permanently delete your account and associated FlipWise cloud data from the More screen. You can also use our account-deletion request page.
